Alliaura Marine has celebrated the opening of its new plant in Lanester (Brittany) the 9th of April 2010. This event confirms the development of this builder of luxury cruising yachts and Alliaura Marine starts a new step in its history. 350 people were there to visit the shipyard at the opening.

Since several years, Alliaura Marine has launched new models in its different brands (Privilège, Feeling, Transcat and Tresco Line) and the middle size of yachts is increasing. This evolution to larger yachts forced the shipyard to invest in a plant adapted to the production.

This is the reason why the Group was looking for a site based on specific criteria to succeed in this project: an important area with enough space to allow the construction of adapted buildings, in France, close to the water with handling facilities for big yachts and in a region where the employment in this activity is dynamic.Alliaura Marine found in Lanester (close to Lorient), the ideal facilities with a very encouraging welcome from the Regional Council of Brittany, all the communities and administrative authorities and of course the city of Lanester.

This willing of development is a reality, the main local councillors were there : the Sub-Prefect, the President of the Regional Council of Brittany, the Vice-President of the General Council, the Mayor of Lorient and the President of Cap Lorient, the Mayor of Lanester.

The area of the field is seven hectares and Alliaura Marine has a complete production site : an existing building of 20 000m² adapted to assembly with 2 500m² fffor carpentry and a new building of 6 000m² for the GRP construction.The investment for this first step in Lanester is ten millions of euros.For the assembly part, the site has been operational since September 2009 with around fifty employees. New recruitment of twenty persons is planned to start the production of the GRP and in order to expand the carpenters team.

Now the Lorient plant is dedicated to the construction of the multihulls and the one of Les Sables d'Olonne for Feeling range. Alliaura Marine begins a new adventure especially with the construction of the Privilège 1000. Nothing like celebrating the 25th anniversary of Privilège brand!
